Nouiri is a native observer who has always been intrested in color in it self. He paint an unspeakable presence, like a conversation between the colors of our dally lite objects, the object is itself a support, a media. It doesn’t stop on the subject details but it makes a dialogue with chaque part of the canvas that he has been working on. He tales us that he wishes to be loyal to the colors danse. There is colors that knows how to live together and others how needs shadings to coexist. So the red and green for exemple will go together to make a call for the grey to soften their common existence. Nouiri privilege the oil painting, and he compares it to the piano that offers a very large range compared to other instruments. Besides the Nouiri’s artworks thickens with material, like to give a tongue to the colors. The brush and the knife clash in the canvas space and leave the mark of their specific gestures.

Mohammed Nouiri is born in 1969 in Rabat. Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts of Tetuan in 1992, his work has been rapidly observed because since 1992, he obtained the Mariano Bertuchi prize of landscape. Thereafter several prizes will be granted to him, especially the Callegos Prize of Painting in 1994 and the Rotary International Prize in 1995. He exhibits regularly from 1990 to 1999, collective and individual exhibitions in Morocco and abroad (France, Spain, Senegal, Tunisia). After a stay in La Cité Des Arts in Paris in 1999, he hasn’t exhibit his work very much to cope with commission for public and private collections. His artworks are among the private collection of the Royal Palace.
