Jaume Marzal Canós

Jaume Marial Canos is spanish artist and painter, who was born in Moncofar near Valencia in 1946. He made his beginnings in painting during his studies in the LLojta Crafts School in Barcelona. The artist lives mainly in Alicante, but he spend some time between Prague and Pilsen in the Czech Republic.
In 1991, Canos begins a journey that will lead him to several arab countries : Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. During that time, he will hold several exhibitions in Spain, Belgium, Tunisia, Czech Republic and Syria.
From 2005 to 2006, the artist will visit several countries in Eastern and Northern Europe, like Litton, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia. He travels through these countries, visiting and painting their centers of art. Between 2008 and 2009, Canos will settle in Syria for 8 months, to live and work. He will hold two exhibitions, one in the Cervantes Institute of Damascus, and the other one in the Spanish Embassy in Syria.
In 2012, the artist will start a new journey that will lead him to South-East Asia. He visited Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Sri-Lanka and Malaysia. He will make a series of paintings depicting this part of the Asian Continent.
