Abderahim Iqbi
Marrakech
Abderrahim Iqbi is moroccan artist and painter born
in 1971. He obtained a Bachelor degree in French
literature, language option. He practices art critic
and he’s passionate about cinema.
He studied arts in Marrakesh, and he will begin to
exhibit his works at the Ibn Sina Gallery from 1991
to 1993. Followed by a period of artistic silence, we
will find him again in an exhibition in Bologna, Italy
in September 2003, and also in the Qoubba Gallery
of Arts.
From 2008, Abderrahim Iqbi will begin to exhibit
permanently in Matisse Art Gallery.
His unique artwork in Morocco stands particularly
upon tragedy, drama, calamity and the expression
of the Man’s grief and misfortune. His permanent
questioning of the meaning of life and the absurd
challenges everyone.
