ELJEMLI Layla is a Moroccan artist born on July 23, 1997. Passionate about art and Arabic calligraphy, she has developed remarkable talent in the fields of drawing, Islamic decoration, and ornamentation.
Academic Background
- 2019 - 2021: Studies in Arabic calligraphy and Islamic ornamentation at Al Quaraouiyine University in Fez.
- 2016 - 2019: Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology, specializing in Biotechnology and Natural Resource Development, Faculty of Science and Technology, Fez.
- 2014 - 2015: Baccalaureate in Life and Earth Sciences, Abdelkhaleq High School, Fez.
Experience and Achievements
- 2021 - 2022: Led a training workshop titled Women Calligraphers, specializing in the Maghrebi and Thuluth calligraphy styles.
- 2020 - 2021: Taught Arabic calligraphy in various centers and private institutions in Fez.
- 2016 - 2018: Writer for the online platform Arabi Post.
- April 2023: Recruited as a decorator at the Royal Court.
